I have been practicing law since 1994 and am licensed to practice in both California and Hawaii. My interest in elder law stems from my personal background. When I was a legislative intern at the State Legislature of Hawaii, I performed research on various issues affecting the elderly such as long-term care. After I became a law student, I participated in the Law School's Elder Law Clinic where I helped elderly people prepare simple wills, advanced health care directives, powers of attorney, and other essential documents. That experience made me determined to be an advocate for the elderly. 本人對老年法律的興趣源於個人背景。當本人在夏威夷州議會擔任立法實習生時，曾就影響長者的各類問題（如長期護理）進行研究。成為法律學生後，本人參與了法學院的老年法律診所，協助長者準備簡單遺囑、預先醫療指令、授權書及其他重要文件。這段經歷使本人決心成為長者的倡導者。
